History

  1. 1951
    The Lusignan manor house at Kouklia was acquired by the government after protracted negotiations with the absentee owners, and restored as a museum from the late fifties.

    George Ioannou served as museum guard in 1958-59 and later as custodian.

  3. 1963
    The Kouklia Museum received a marble statue base found ploughing near Mandria, with a Hellenistic dedication to Aphrodite and a Graeco-Roman honorary inscription to Rhodokles (RDAC 1964, 211 ff.).
