The Cypriot collection
A large group of Cypriot antiquities lent by R. H. Lang in 1870 and given in 1903; also an Early Bronze Age White Painted model chair and models published by Peltenburg and Karageorghis 1976 (2012)
History
- 1870R. H. Lang lent a large and important group of Cypriot material to his home city, the year the city's civic collections were brought together at Kelvingrove; Ulbrich and Kiely suggest the loan may relate to that reorganisation.
- 1903The loan was formalised as a gift.
