The project
A Roman tomb at Vounous, on the northern edge of Anayia, was reported for 1963 with a bronze coin of Vespasian, glass cups and candlestick-type unguentaria1. V. Karageorghis published it in his chronicle of the year's discoveries, which names no excavator and describes no fieldwork1. A plain clay unguentarium from the tomb, Cyprus Museum 1963/I-15/1, imitates a bell-bodied glass candlestick type, which Karageorghis says appears late1.
