Red Polished Spouted Bowl

Description:

Red Polished ware spouted bow/basinl; hand-made; hemispherical body on a rounded base; large tubular spout on the rim; opposite is a verical lug handle, pierced with a single hole. Made of buff-orange clay with a burnished self-slip fired to a semi-lustrous red. Vessel is ressambled from sherds and largely complete apart from a portion of the lower part of the vessel near the spout; surface chipped and worn throughout.
