Description

A dark donkey with two large wicker baskets on its pack saddle stands in the centre of a dusty, stony street. Four men stand around it against a pale plastered wall: a young man in a small cap on the left, an older man with a white headwrap and a long staff, and two men in striped shirts and loose trousers on the right, one with his back to the camera. The strong sunlight casts clear shadows on the ground.
