English, translated from the original record
Street in Nicosia, Cyprus. The photograph was taken from the previous Bandabulya market in Nicosia, located at the intersection of the most important retail streets (Ermou, Goldsmiths', and Arasta). It was then demolished and a new building (Bandabuliya) was built in 1932; the project was by architect Odesseas Tsagkarides. In the background the Selimiye Mosque, historically known as Cathedral of Saint Sophia, is visible.
