The inner enclosure wall is in general of the same character as the outer though it is of an even more fragile kind. The same gypsum pillars occur here too but considerably more sparsely and not so regularly. To judge by everything, the wall has had roughly the same appearance north of the western eisodos as the outer one, and presumably ended against or been be faced by the same ashlar wall-end as previously described in connection with the outer wall. Of this, however, everything has been removed now, and only a few indistinct traces and cuttings in the high-standing rock suggest that here at all there was any inner wall north of the eisodos. South of this, on the other hand, the wall begins immediately behind (inside) the entrance's facing wall with a gypsum pillar.
