15/3… of 0.40-0.50 m. Dromos to tomb 415 is found and the clearing is begun. In the trial pit by tomb 406 the rock is found at 1.25 m. of earth fill. It sinks in three steps down to a hewn, stone-filled hollow, which, although it is not entirely regular, nevertheless appears to act as the upper part of a dromos of Mycenaean type. We cut down from above in the presumed direction of the dromos' length.

In dromos to tomb 415 is found in its northern part next to a carob tree a painted kylix, at the same time as a couple of other vessels glimpse in the fill. It is evidently a later burial in the dromos, similar to tomb 407. Skeletal remains are found adjacent, although the body which lay on top of the rock is very damaged. The clearing is made difficult by the quantity of large roots from the haroupian, which I have not been able to cut off. The whole tree-tree namely stands in the dromos' extension.
