Tomb 416. [page number: 55.]

2/12--3/121/12The tomb was found during clearing of the dromos of tomb 406, whose eastern side was cut through by the western part of the chamber. The dromos proves to be unusually small and in its upper part cut from below by the chamber of 417. The dromos is of Mycenaean type. The gateway is of ordinary size and its packing seems not particularly trustworthy. The door packing is removed and the chamber appears decidedly plundered. The chamber floor is covered by a c. foot-deep layer of fill, on top of which lie disturbed masses of sherds. The layer itself also contains sherds, along with the following vessels.
