Crib-timbered shaft in rock face, with a rod placed alongside it — Photograph: John Lindros, Swedish Cyprus Expedition, 1927–31. Medelhavsmuseet, Stockholm, Csn3089. Public domain (CC0).

Description

Dark horizontal timbers are set in a rectangular arrangement in a rough, mottled rock face, forming a crib-like framing. A long thin rod lies diagonally on the left, and loose debris covers the ground below. The bright, broken rock wall rises along the right edge of the frame.
