Bronze Weapons, spearhead (A.23.61)

Bronze spearhead from Amathus, a long leaf-shaped blade with a central ridge and a socket base — Photograph: Swedish Cyprus Expedition, 1927–31. Medelhavsmuseet, Stockholm, Csn2596. Public domain (CC0).

Description

A long bronze spearhead photographed upright against a grey card mount. The narrow leaf-shaped blade tapers to a point at the top and has a raised central ridge, while the thicker socket at the base is corroded and rough. The surface shows darker patches and pitting, and a handwritten note and a printed number appear at the lower edges of the card.
