Pottery Base-Ring Ware (E.8.59)

Description
A dark grey pottery jug with a globular body, a tall narrow neck with two raised bands, a pinched spout at the rim and a single loop handle running from shoulder to neck. A large raised arc or ring motif curves across the lower right of the body, and the surface is worn with pale flaking patches. It is photographed as a single object on a plain ground, mounted on a card with handwritten notes along the bottom edge.
