Pencil field drawing on squared grid paper showing a vertical soil section with horizontal layers of earth. Outlined rounded shapes representing stones sit within the layers, with a stone edge at the right and a curved line marking the lower boundary. Handwritten notes label the layers, and an orange stain lies near the centre of the sheet.

This is the blank reverse of a sheet of paper, with a brownish stain near the centre and a vertical crease down the middle. In the upper right are a crossed-out label in blue pencil, a circled marking in pencil, and a small number in red pencil. The soil section drawing itself is not shown on this side.
