Limestone Cypro-Greek II sculpture (V. 586)

Limestone sculpture fragment from Vouni with carved curving folds, broken along its lower edge — Photograph: Swedish Cyprus Expedition, 1927–31. Medelhavsmuseet, Stockholm, C06388. Public domain (CC0).

Description

A broken fragment of pale limestone, photographed against a light backdrop on a card mount. Several smooth, curving ridges run down the surface, separated by shallow grooves, suggesting carved drapery or folds. A diagonal break line cuts across the lower part of the fragment, and the edges are rough and worn.
