Description

In the foreground, a large boat with rope rigging and bundles on its deck is pulled up on the sand, with a smaller boat beside it at left and an open boat afloat at right. Behind them stands a two-storey whitewashed building with shuttered windows and a pitched roof, with trees on the left and a low rocky shoreline to the right. A small figure may be standing near the water by the building.
