Description

A boy in a striped shirt and shorts hangs from a wooden pole slung on ropes under a roof overhang, his legs bent and feet off the ground. Behind him a smaller child in a wide-brimmed hat stands on the paved terrace, and a man in a shirt and tie stands before a whitewashed wall. At the right a second man in light clothes peers from a doorway beside a tall wooden post, and laundry hangs from the beam on the left.
