Description, scan 2
A heavily corroded iron object runs vertically down the picture, roughly four times as long as it is wide. Its upper part has a crusted, flaky surface with rough edges, and the lower part narrows to a blunt, rounded tip where lighter patches show through the crust. It is photographed upright against a pale grey card, with a handwritten label along the bottom edge of the mount.
