Round-bodied jug with a single loop handle and a short flared neck, cracked, photographed against a plain background. — Photograph: Swedish Cyprus Expedition, 1927–31. Medelhavsmuseet, Stockholm, C04781. Public domain (CC0).

Description

A coarse pottery jug with a globular body, a wide flat-topped neck and a single strap handle rising from the shoulder to the rim. The surface is grey-brown with mottled patches and several cracks run across the body and neck, with a chip at the rim. The jug stands alone on a pale surface, lit from the front-left so its form and shadow are clear.
