Description

Two side-by-side photographs on a black background each show a crumpled, thin, pale fragment with ragged edges. The left fragment has a dark pin or stick pushed into its lower centre, and the right one has a dark mark along its upper edge. Each fragment sits above a small card label with handwritten marks.

  • Blurred view of a flat, irregular grey fragment on a black ground, with a bluish patch near its lower middle
  • Irregular pale fragment from Amathus tombs, photographed against a black background; the material is hard to make out.
Description, scan 2
A flat, irregular grey fragment fills the centre of a black field, with faint darker markings across its surface and a bluish-grey patch near the lower middle. The ragged edges and soft outline make surface detail hard to make out. The print is mounted on a cream card with a thin border.
Description, scan 3
A single irregular, pale grey fragment lies against a black background, its surface showing a rough, uneven texture with darker hollows and ridges. A small blue patch of tape or label is stuck to the upper edge, and a small yellow spot appears near the right side. The image is soft and blurred, so the material and finer detail of the fragment are hard to make out.
