Bone, A.5.40

Rectangular bone fragment from Amathus, shown as a photograph mounted on a card.
Photograph: Swedish Cyprus Expedition, 1927–31. Medelhavsmuseet, Stockholm, C04320e. Public domain (CC0).

Description

A small rectangular grey object with a granular, pitted surface fills most of the frame, and its lower edge is darker. The photograph is soft and out of focus, so fine detail and its exact material are hard to make out. The print sits on a cream card with a white border.

Description, scan 2
A flat, elongated rectangular object with a mottled, granular surface fills most of the print, with a dark shadowed edge at its left end and a slightly uneven upper edge. Along the bottom of the mount, a dark strip with a pale round mark is partly visible, possibly a label or part of another object.
