Cypro.Hell.I jar and sherds, A. 026:006

Reassembled jar from Amathus tombs 10–26, shown on a photo card — Photograph: Swedish Cyprus Expedition, 1927–31. Medelhavsmuseet, Stockholm, C04273d. Public domain (CC0).

Description

A grey-toned photograph of a globular jar with a short, broken neck and a small flat foot. The surface is pale and dark in patches and shows several cracks and visible joins, so the jar has been pieced together from fragments. The print is mounted on a card with a light border, a number label sits in the lower corner, and faint scratches mark the print.
