Marble head with wavy hair over the brow and rows of rounded curls at the side; the nose is chipped. — Photograph: Swedish Cyprus Expedition, 1927–31. Medelhavsmuseet, Stockholm, C04232. Public domain (CC0).

Description

A marble head and upper neck are photographed against a plain black background, turned slightly to the viewer's left. The face has full lips and a straight nose chipped near the tip, and the hair is combed in wavy strands over the forehead and forms rows of round, bead-like curls at the side and back. A wavy lock hangs down the neck, and the bust ends flat at the base.
