Limestone Minor Plastic (C.M)

Standing limestone figure of a human figure with a draped cloak, on a rectangular base — Photograph: Swedish Cyprus Expedition, 1927–31. Medelhavsmuseet, Stockholm, C03866. Public domain (CC0).

Description

A standing figure carved in limestone, its body mostly unclothed apart from a cloak draped over the shoulders and falling down the sides. The right hand rests against the chest holding a small rounded object, and the face and hair are worn but readable. The figure stands on a rectangular base before a plain draped grey cloth backdrop, and the surface shows some chips and pitting.
