Bichrome IV jug with a strap handle and a painted animal figure on its globular body. — Photograph: Swedish Cyprus Expedition, 1927–31. Medelhavsmuseet, Stockholm, C03753. Public domain (CC0).

Description

A globular jug with a wide, flaring neck and a strap handle rising from rim to shoulder, photographed on a pale surface. Dark painted figures on the body include a standing quadruped with its legs visible, a partly visible second animal shape to its right, and angular strokes at the left edge. The paint is worn and flaking in places, and the vessel casts a soft shadow on the ground.
