Description

A painted pottery vessel with a wide rounded body, a short flat rim and a tall flaring foot, photographed against a pale background. Two looped handles rise from the shoulder, and a face with eyes, nose and mouth is modelled in relief where one handle meets the body. Dark painted bands run around the body, with a row of stylised birds in panels and vertical stripes above, and the surface shows some wear.
