Five men stand with large clay vessels and baskets in a courtyard beside a stone building and palm trees — Photograph: Swedish Cyprus Expedition, 1927–31. Medelhavsmuseet, Stockholm, C03722. Public domain (CC0).

Description

Five men stand in a row in a shaded courtyard, four in light jackets and brimless caps and one in a dark uniform with chevron stripes on the sleeve. Around them on the ground are a tall jug, a pot, several jars and a basket, with a rough stone building with a barred window and palm trees behind. The picture is a posed group with pottery rather than a close view of a single object.
