Description, scan 2
Close view of excavated masonry at the Vouni palace: large rough-cut stone blocks stand in stepped tiers on the left and centre. A dark opening lies to the right beneath a thin timber beam, and flat stone slabs form a floor in the foreground, partly cleared of soil. The crumbling pale rock face fills the background.
