Stones during excavation at the palace at Vouni

Description
Looking along a narrow excavated cutting whose sides are weathered, rough rock faces and squared stone blocks. At the centre, a rectangular opening in a stone wall frames a darker passage beyond, with a low step at its base. Daylight shows at the top of the cutting, and the lower walls are built of blocks with pale crusted patches.
