Description

A wide view across a stony slope with a rocky, bushy hill rising behind. In the middle ground, spoil heaps surround a pale rectangular excavated area with low stone lines, and a tall tree stands beside it. At the right, about eleven people sit and stand in small groups among trees and bushes on the slope.

Description, scan 2
A rocky, scrubby hillside rises across the back of the view, with a bare, stony slope below it. In the middle distance are pale spoil heaps and a flat pale patch, probably an excavated area, beside a tall slender tree. About ten small figures sit or stand in groups near trees at the right edge, and shrubs fill the foreground.
