Excavation at the palace at Vouni, with bushes and stones

Description
A narrow trench runs away from the camera between high banks of pale excavated soil. Its dark fill rises to a few pale stones and a step-like block near the far end. Low shrubs grow along the top of the banks and in the foreground, with open sky above and a tree at the right edge.
