Pottery White Painted I bowl (L.603.5)

White Painted I bowl with two loop handles and a dark painted band below the rim — Photograph: Swedish Cyprus Expedition, 1927–31. Medelhavsmuseet, Stockholm, C01962a. Public domain (CC0).

Description

A bowl with a rounded, flaring body, two small loop handles at the rim and a short ring foot. A row of short dark strokes runs around the rim above a dark painted band, and the surface is mottled with dark spots. The bowl has been broken and rejoined, so cracks show across the body, and it stands on a plain pale surface against a light background.
