In-situ find of clay figurines packed together in soil during excavation at Ayia Irini

Description

A dense cluster of small figurines lies packed together in dark soil, as found during excavation. Many have limbs, heads and rounded bodies, some with arms bent, and several are broken or partly buried. Their pale, clay-like surfaces stand out against the earth, and the view is taken straight down onto the find.
