Excavation at Kountoura Trachonia: planks and stones

Description

Looking down into an excavated cut in pale earth, with a dark hollow at the back where stones or blocks lie against the soil face. A long wooden plank lies across the right edge above loose stones and gravel, and a diagonal shadow crosses the left foreground. The ground around the cut is dry and sparsely grown with low plants.
