Description

The view runs across the excavation on a hillside at Vouni, with the sea curving along the coast to the left. A stone wall of large blocks runs along the left edge, and a standing man in a hat holds a stick in the middle of the site. Narrow rail tracks with tipping wagons run through the trench, and several workers, including women in headscarves seated at right, are spread across the slope.
