Excavation at the palace at Vouni

Description
Walls of large, roughly dressed stone blocks run along the back of an excavated area, with more fallen blocks scattered on the higher ground behind them. In the centre a big slab lies over a dark hollow cut into the earth, and on the right a steep earth face shows the depth of the cutting. A small tree and shrubs stand against the pale sky at the top of the frame.
