Excavation with stones at Kountoura Trachonia

Description

A narrow, deep cutting through pale earth runs down the middle of the photograph. At its bottom, several large, flat-faced stones are stacked one above another against the sides of the trench. Loose soil and a spoil heap of pale earth lie along the right edge, and the trench walls are rough and uneven.
