Description

Two people bend over to dig into a stony slope: one kneels in a striped skirt and white headscarf, the other stands in a white blouse and dark skirt, both swinging pickaxes. Loose stones and sparse grass cover the ground, and a hill rises behind them. In the hazy distance a blurred animal, possibly cattle, stands on the slope.

Description, scan 2
Two women in long skirts and headscarves bend over and dig into a stony, sloping ground with pick-like tools. The left worker is partly hidden in the hollow they are cutting, and grass and loose stones cover the slope. Faint hills rise behind them, and a blurred figure, possibly an animal, stands on the right.
