Tomb 12 at Marion, during excavation

Description
A deep excavated cut with earthen sides leads down to a dark, arched opening in the ground, which is the entrance to the tomb. The sloping floor of the cut runs up to the opening, and the soil walls show layers of earth. Grass, shrubs and scattered stones cover the ground above the excavation.
