Description

A deep, dark rectangular cut in the earth is seen from above during excavation. Soil walls rise on both sides, with roots and small stones showing near the top edge. A pale, sunlit area of ground fills the lower part of the frame, and a rounded shape is faintly visible in the darker recess at lower right.
