Desolate landscape with shepherds at Milia

Description
Two shepherds stand on a bare, stony plain at Milia: a man in a headscarf and dark clothing on the left, and a second figure holding a long stick in the centre. A flock of more than a dozen sheep grazes to the right among sparse low scrub. On the horizon a small chapel, the Fokas chapel, stands under a broad cloudy sky.
