Description

A man in a dark jacket and light headscarf sits on the edge of an excavated cut, holding a notebook and pencil, and looks towards the camera. Below him a pale, cut passage slopes down into a dark rectangular opening, with loose soil and rubble heaped on both sides. Behind, flat open country stretches to the horizon, where a domed building stands on the right.
