Tomb 409 at Lapithos, during excavation

Description
A rounded, arched opening in a pale earth face leads into a dark tomb chamber. The soil around the entrance is rough and crumbly, and the ground in front is smooth and sandy. The chamber interior is too dark to show detail, though rough surfaces are faintly visible on the back wall.
