English, translated from the French record

Fragment of the upper part of a head, without the back: the face is broken at mid-nose, with the matching hair and veil. Red clay, mould-made (moulded hollow), H. 7.5 cm. Almond-shaped eyes with relief lids (the upper lid more arched on the right eye than the left) and a distinct pupil indicating an upward gaze; the hair is tightly curled and raised into a high pediment, perhaps with a knot at the top. The veil lies directly on the hair; at the angle of the pediment a clearly defined edge of head covering appears, more likely the upper edge of the veil than the lower edge of a calathos, though a calathos on the veil cannot be ruled out. Same mould as Sal_2054, Sal_3999 and fragment Sal_2110. Inventory Tc_0627; 7 April 1967.
