Medelhavsmuseet: Focus on the Mediterranean 5 (Stockholm 2009), edited by Sanne Houby-Nielsen, prints the papers of Finds and Results from the Swedish Cyprus Expedition 1927–1931: A Gender Perspective, which Houby-Nielsen's introduction calls the first major international conference the Medelhavsmuseet organised on its Cyprus collections. It accompanied the new A. G. Leventis Gallery of Cypriote Antiquities, funded from 2003 by the A. G. Leventis Foundation, whose central hall opened in January 2009.

All twenty-four papers are Cypriot. Gerald Cadogan opens with "From cash loan to magnum opus: a fresh look at the Swedish Cyprus Expedition". Several revisit the Expedition's own sites and finds: Ayia Irini (Cecilia Beer; Sandra A. Christou), Marion (Karin Nys; Nancy Serwint), a steatite mould from Idalion (Demetra Papaconstantinou and Nicoletta Menti), Hellenistic and Roman tombs (Danielle A. Parks) and the human skeletons (Nikolaos Roumelis and Michael Schultz). Others take up figurines and plank figures, goddesses, inscriptions, potters, tombs and households from the Neolithic to the Roman period, among them Paul Åström on "two cases from Hala Sultan Tekke" and Jennifer M. Webb on the Early and Middle Cypriot household.
