Description

Four tall, slender columns with ornate carved capitals rise from bases on a level, unpaved area in the foreground. Behind them, low courses of cut stone blocks and a dark band of trees stand under a dramatic sky with heavy clouds and bright light breaking through. A single round base lies on the ground to the right.

English

Four tall marble columns with carved capitals stand in a row above a dirt-floored area at Salamis. Low walls of stone blocks and a dark tree line lie behind them under a cloudy evening sky.
