Description

A mosaic panel in warm brown, ochre and cream tesserae shows a bull running from left to right, its head lowered and horns visible. A young male figure in a short tunic leans forward on the right, holding a long spear level toward the animal. A band of stepped geometric ornament runs along the lower edge, and a pale plaster or wall surface fills the top of the view. Diagonal shadows and light patches fall across the scene, and a faint watermark overlays the centre.

English

A section of floor mosaic shows a hunter with a spear on the right running toward a charging bull on the left. The tesserae are small and mostly brown, red and cream, with a border of geometric pattern along the bottom edge.
