Description

The mosaic floor fills the whole frame, with tendrils, leaves and grape clusters curling across its surface in the upper half. A large round medallion in reddish and dark tesserae sits near the centre. At lower left a figure in dark outline stands on the pavement. Sand and loose soil lie against the edges of the exposed tesserae.

English

A floor mosaic at the Paphos Archaeological Park, partly uncovered and dusted with sand. Vine scrolls with grape clusters run across the floor, and a large central medallion and a figure at lower left are visible in dark and reddish tesserae.
