Description

Rows of white stone seating curve in a semicircle down the hillside, with a paved and walled area along the lower edge in front. Scattered fallen blocks lie among the seats on the left. Beyond, flat green fields divided by field boundaries stretch to a pale strip of coast and sea under a hazy sky. Three small figures stand near the right side of the seating.

English

The curved tiers of stone seating of the theatre at Kourion rise across the slope, with a broad green plain and the coast stretching out below. A stone-walled front edge runs along the bottom of the frame.
