A man in a light striped jacket, white shirt and dark trousers poses on a low stone step at the left, one foot raised. Behind him rises a row of tall marble columns with carved capitals, running diagonally into the distance. A pine tree stands at the left edge, and low ruined walls and more columns fill the background under a cloudy sky.
