Upright and fallen column drums and bases are scattered across a dry, grassy open ground in the foreground and middle distance. Low walls and further ruins extend towards the background, where a dense line of trees and bushes lies under a pale, cloudy sky. A small sign stands among the ruins, and the printed caption Salamis Famagusta - Cyprus appears along the bottom edge.
